Follow the instructions below to find an editorial or opinion piece by using the News Search form in LexisNexis Academic.

After clicking on the News Tab:

  1. Click "Show" (in the same spot as "Hide" on the above picture) to display the Add Index Terms boxes.
  2. In the "Subject" index terms box, scroll down to "Editorials & Opinions". Select this option.
  3. Type any topic that you'd like in the search box. The example above shows a search for Global Warming editorials and opinions.
  4. Select "At Least 3 Occurrences" or "At Least 5 Occurrences" from the drop-down box. This will ensure that the editorial is actually about your topic, instead of an editorial that just mentions your topic.
  5. Press the red search button to see your results list.
