This function is helpful when you are looking for a very specific document.
After clicking on the PowerSearch form:
- Click "Show" (in the same spot as "hide" on the above picture) to display the Document Section boxes.
- Select the document sections you need. If you have the specific date of the document, select "DATE". If you have the headline or know the first few words of the article, select "HLEAD". For more information on which document section you should choose to fit your needs, visit the Academic Document Sections article.
- Type your terms in the box. For the example above, the date term was "= 11/11/2006" and the publication term was "New York Times."
- Click the link to add this section and term set to your search. You may add as many sets to your search as you wish. Each time you click "Add to Search", the Power Search form will automatically add an "AND" between sets.
